Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local 1 NY continues to open doors for young people looking to build a solid, meaningful future and fourth-year apprentice Elijah Caddle is living proof of what’s possible when opportunity meets determination. Elijah shared that his journey began during the pandemic, a time when many people were unsure about their future. Instead of waiting, he made a decision: When the world reopened, he wanted something real to work toward. He researched apprenticeships, applied through the state portal, and took a chance on a new path. “Now I’m here,” he said well into his fourth year and thriving at 90%. He speaks with pride about the skills he’s gained through the apprenticeship program bricklaying fundamentals, tool mastery, jobsite awareness, and the confidence that only hands-on training can provide. He’s honest about the learning curve: the trowel, the level, the hammer may seem simple, but mastering them takes patience, practice, and commitment. For him, Local 1 NY offers more than technical training it teaches discipline, professionalism, and respect for the craft. “This is a serious business,” he emphasized. “The trade will treat you the same way you treat it.” He encourages new apprentices to show up consistently, take the program seriously, and understand that real skill is earned, not given. Elijah’s message to anyone considering a career in the trades is clear: Jump in with both feet. Nothing worth having is easy, but the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local 1 NY apprenticeship gives you the foundation, the support, and the opportunity to build a career you can be proud of. The way Trump tells it, Border Patrol is the best ever.

But they're also missing people walking... herds of cattle? do I have this right, Scott? People walking herds of caddle across the southern border.

What a moron.

Also fuck bull riding stop abusing animals for entertainment. I don't care if they don't kill them after you're still getting a calf and conditioning it to be pissed, along with caddle roping.
So weird to see a guy whose entire business runs on the work of immigrants and people who aren't white loudly support Trump and still act nice around those people. Sure he'll shake your hand but he'll just as easily send you in a van if it feeds his belief. Let's see hoe his business does.
