If such a ban can be effective (big if), it has to be intrusive.
If kids aren't supposed to be on social media, it creates a barrier to asking for help if something happens—they're already in trouble, trying to avoid more. This fear can be preyed on.

I'd love to see what the car park charges are when it eventually leaves.
I parked in a multi storey in Croydon but the barrier was up when I left so I didn't have to pay. Every now and then I'd put my ticket into the machine to see what the charges were. It got to over £500 before it stopped working
