Captain with a guitar

At sea, we used to sail the waves, we lived with ships, with voices, with fire. Now at home, alone I sing, in the old dream I return again.

My guitar blows like the wind, and every note leads me far away. The earth did not hold me in the harbor, my heart still travels there.

My sails have become thin strings, and my storms are now shadows. But every night, when the roar subsides, my song fills the silence.

Στης θάλασσας το κύμα αρμενίζαμε, με πλοία, με φωνές, με φλόγα ζούσαμε. Τώρα στο σπίτι, μόνος τραγουδάω, μες στ’ όνειρο παλιό ξανά γυρνάω.
