i think with how embarassing xbc2 is in English like, people running defense for an otherwise great game has molded maybe the worst person you can imagine (Nintendo fans who like jrpgs) to assume you're the problem.

Is it a main game technically? I thought it was partners...
And this one did basically announce the Hollow Knight witch 2 upgrade so it's not like Directs are limited to new games and ports, seems like Switch 2 version reveals are also on the table...
Just gimme xbc2 upgrade for higher res and FPS

While I would 100% understand it from business point of view, I hope that's not what Monolith has been working on. XBC2 is perfectly playable as is, I would much rather see a whole new Xeno title announced

Personally, just going by that leak, I'd be down with either a Xenoblade 4 or a version of XBC2 with a better framerate and a lot more polish with some of its wonkier aspects
I really like 2. You can also tell that game was made under a hellish deadline & Torna directly addressed some of its quirks
