Ich hätte ihn gerne einmal getrunken. Lt. Datenblatt ein hervorragend facettenreicher Octomore. Auch auf Whiskybase gut bewertet.

Great spot and what a bargain! Managed to pick up a bottle for £115 with the extra fiver off as a new customer. Just phenomenal value and the consensus on Whiskybase is that it's a pretty solid dram too.

According to Whiskybase, it's a release for the Russian market. As to what grain was used, it could be anything. Especially as they don't own a grain distillery, they'll be sourcing it for blends etc.

I use whiskybase intensely. R(h)um is my second favorite spirit behind whisky. Funky you mean Jamaican Rum? As whisky drinker, agricole style is a good entry into the world of whisky with their often wooden flavors. I like St. James. But also Barbados with Mount Gay. And rums from Haiti.

I have three single casks, two ex-bourbon and one ex-sherry. Not found of the ex-sherry but the ex-bourbs (an old one for RMW and one for whiskybase) are sublime. The winter and summer releases are not at that level.

I’m a tedious Whiskybase type but the biggest joy from it is closing one off so I can review the stash as to what to open next as I limit it to 20 open bottles at any one time.
