Re: UCP use of s.33 Charter Notwithstanding clause. They decided they couldn't meet the s.1 test, especially "demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society"(see below), so resorted to s.33.

The Charter has never really protected Indigenous even in a time of so called reconciliation so forgive me for giggling at Albertans upset over the not withstanding clause being used while benefiting from the Indian Act. #TeachersStrike
