#System-in-Package
👀 Remix published their event/interaction package

Nicely composable API, not coupled to any framework

I like its built-in/custom interaction system, which could help remove event-related state/complexity from your UI components

Wonder if this makes sense to use with React?

This is amazing.
60lbs of dog food to be delivered in Raleigh on Thursday.
Started in Charlotte.
It is now in Wisconsin.
Amazon won’t cancel it bc it’s in transit despite it being in their system.
If it is delivered at some point I won’t be in Raleigh again until December.

This doesn't even include climate and immigration bills that the House passed but stalled in the Senate.

And my other lying sack of shit senator has responded to my email.

The price tag for all three - around £7bn in total - would be significant for a government facing fiscal pressures at the Budget. But this package shouldn't be thought of as radical; it is simply reversing cuts made since 2013 and restoring the link between need and entitlement in the benefit system

AI’s analysis of my tweets.

I’ll take it.

“Progressive Democrat with spicy rhetoric—passionate, online-savvy, and anti-establishment in tone, but pro-system, pro-reform, and electorally focused. Think: AOC energy + Jon Stewart sarcasm + union organizer heart, all in a candle-selling package.”

Conda ≠ PyPI

Conda isn’t just another Python package manager-it’s a multi-language, user-space distribution system.

In this 3-part series, we explore the fundamental differences between conda and PyPI.

Part 1 is live now 👇

So I assume they have a process where a package is scanned somewhere and assigned to a container destined for the next point in the chain but somehow actually ends up in the wrong container and so the system will show it bouncing around. Makes a sense, real headache though.

And here's Florida's State Retirement System explaining why they will vote in favor of Tesla pay package. They argue that "this plan sets the gold standard for executive compensation." Full filing here: www.sec.gov/Archives/edg...

It’s mildly annoying when you get a “your package is on the way!” email and then tracking sits at “label created not yet in system” for two weeks.

Rolled out of bed and #RandomGameSaturday is the most obvious thing on my bookshelf, Sam & Max Hit the Road!

This game helped develop my comedic voice in writing and performing probably more than anything else, and getting it to run with a boot disk on a home PC was an important learning for me.

Yesterday I got a message about a refund being issued. My package was in the system as could not be delivered so they gave me my money back. 😳

Yeah. It might.

I'm particularly thinking of Chris Lintott's book The Crowd and the Cosmos with the hilarious story about how they struggled to very rapidly package up penguin poo on a cruise ship, realising in horror that the ventilation system was blowing the stench to all the passengers ...

I feel like I've just never really had enough of a problem with either using the system package tool or putting stuff in /opt/something that I felt, yes, having every file and directory be like a computer got sick and vomited all of its hexadecimal into the file system would make this better

Lithtech games are know for being tricky to run on modern system, so I picked Blood 2 The Chosen and made a fix compilation, putting all the required fixes together in a single package:

Looking back at old Ohtani stories we wrote before he made his MLB debut. This is from Dec. 2017.

The PSD was right. 4 of the best prospects in the baseball would have been too light a package.

Experimenting with the {WeightedTreemaps} package for visualizing soil color proportions. Added the blue color for sanity check. Cell area proportional ~ soil color (Munsell) frequency. Positioning of colors is based on average human color perception of color similarity.

Very very good match. I have a lot of thoughts about the excursion system in NJPW and how it expects wrestlers to come back as a "complete package", but I think Yuya and Shota have both found a way to break that mold and prove that they're still capable of growing. I really loved them both here.

What's the best way to switch from a soundbar to a surround system?
This AVForums #discussion weighs up some of the options for switching from a #soundbar system to a full 5.1.2 surround package, albeit with a few restrictions in the suggested scenario.

If you open the app package properties and copy the icon from there, you will get the icon with system effects baked into it, not the source icon stored in the package.
