I'm really interested in how much KOEI games can teach survivorslike developers about building campaigns, engaging plotlines told through battle, and crowd-control as a method of choosing narrative options. I'm also really interested in what survivorslikes can teach KOEI about juicing the game loop.

You know, I haven't really seen anyone talking about how close the Musou and Survivorslike genres are, conceptually. It's a real games case study of convergent evolution and I really think there's valuable insight and crossover to be mined from examining similarities, solutions, and differences.

Not really about ticking all boxes, but they each tick similar amounts of boxes from BOTH sets. Maybe Brotato and VS aren't the most clear-cut examples (although VS should define "survivorslike" I guess)? Also it's hard to argue Brotato was NOT strongly influenced by VS. Oh well, definitions... :D
