This is a disgrace. Brampton company #Roshel is selling armoured vehicles to ICE to be deployed in Gestapo-style anti-migrant raids in the US. On the issue of selling weaponized vehicles to US repressive agencies, Ontario's premier Doug Ford is all elbows down.

Still absolutely livid that there is a company in Brampton selling vehicles to ICE.

Hopefully a rogue employee of Roshel could accidentally "make a few mistakes" during assembly

@rachelgilmore.bsky.social your work indicates Roshel fulfilled it’s only contract with ICE. This piece seems to refer to future purchases?

I know you didn’t find any such thing when you did your research, but ICE isn’t exactly known for truth telling.
February 6, 2026 at 2:01 AM
Seriously Roshel? I’ve always been proud that you’ve supplied Ukraine for a long time, but now this? ICE?!?!

And Ford, who I despise, and yet he has done good things for Canada 🇨🇦 vs the orange turd, are you going to stand for this?

Absolutely shameful.

Looking to you to stand up Nate!

"ICE is purchasing 20 armored Senator personnel carriers from Canadian manufacturer Roshel, based in Brampton, Ontario, for $10 million CAD. The armored vehicles are intended for use by field agents.”

Canada has NO business provisioning ICE.

Public pressure from Canadians had a BC billionaire reverse course on selling a warehouse that was to be used as the same sort of facility in Virginia. Unfortunately, our government supports sales of armoured vehicles by Roshel to be used by ICE and that's wrong on every level. Saudi Arabia too.

- It’s not hard to organize a small protest in Canada.

There are other specific things that Canadians can do. And we’re going to have to keep pushing this.

But right now the Number 1 target is Roshel and the weapons loophole.

- Greenpeace held a protest at Roshel a few days ago.
Contact them to see if there will be another one.
- If you are nowhere near Roshel’s facility, do a search for other anti-ICE protests in Canada. There were a few over the weekend.
- If there isn’t a protest near you, set one up.

What do you do now?

- Sign one of the petitions
- contact those two MPs to voice your support
- contact YOUR MP to voice your issues with the sale of Roshel vehicles to ICE, even in the future
- tell your MP you want such sales stopped
- find a protest and go

There are already multiple petitions re: Roshel (like 5) and the issue of closing the loophole on weapons sales is up in the House of Commons on the 17th.

But we still need an investigation into all the contracts, which a parliamentary committee can do.

Harsha Walia’s excellent advice to people in “so-called Canada” 👍 (or people living anywhere in the world, though you’ll have to tweak recommendations to your situation) who want to help.

Don’t kid yourself—this effects all of us, wherever we are.

Roshel armored vehicles use Ford F-550 as its base platform....so it's only a sub-Contractor!
For 20 vehicles only!
Give that group a break!
Besides, if that manufacturer & its employees don't honor their contract; they will suit by Trump!
Never forget, Trump love to use Legal system to break people
