#Reimplementation
I've had the data of DE cracked open (using slightly modified publicly available tools for data mining it) and whatever joke reimplementation you can think of would be probably healthier than the original.

I miss old Mac OS X, I miss all of this. I tried OS X back when Yosemite was still a new thing, so I could only use Mavericks in a VM. I miss when software looked cool.

Can we please go back to cool stuff? Can we start making a reimplementation of older Mac OS X in "a style of RedStar OS" or […]

I'd hardly call a backdoor reimplementation of privatized slavery 'minor' but in any event I did say other reforms are needed

and it will be a lot easier to get those reforms without a giant economic attractor resisting them

okay now i refactored my day4 impl, broke up the tests, and added helper functions that will help with the reimplementation of diagonal generation, plus tests for rectangle grids specifically

next i think i’m going to go for a “bounded coordinate” type which can be used as part of iterators…

Heroes of Might and Magic 2 project fheroes2 version 1.1.12 has been released
Dear fans of the fheroes2 project! Today we are excited to announce a new version of the **fheroes2** game engine - 1.1.12! This release brings a huge number of updates and stands as one of the biggest releases in recent years. First of all, we have added an initial implementation of the **Random Map Generator** to the Editor. For now, this feature is marked as in development, as many parts are still unfinished and require further work before it becomes a fully realized part of the project. We plan to refine and expand this feature in future releases. Another major highlight of this release is the introduction of basic iOS support. While this version still requires refinement before reaching a fully stable state, this marks a big step forward. We will continue sharing progress updates as development continues. The team has also made numerous **UI improvements**. We updated the icons for Mass Dispel spell and Resolution option, added new buttons in the File Options dialog, moved the Turn Order bar above the battlefield on high resolutions, and enabled playback for multiple videos - restoring missing campaign animations. You can now switch between towns in the Mage Guild using arrows, delete maps from lists, and have a much larger text limit for all resurrection maps, many-many more changes. This update also includes major improvements to the **AI**. AI heroes can now predict the start of a new week for weekly objects such as Monster Dwellings, Windmills, and Magic Gardens, allowing for smarter task management on the Adventure Map. They also make better pre-battle unit arrangements, improving their chances of success. Additionally, we have introduced new conditions for hero hiring to make the late game more engaging. We hope you enjoy the latest version of the engine, and once again, thank you so much for your continued support of the project! Don't forget, that you also need to grab the data from GOG.com which it requires to run. You can find the fheroes2 project on the GitHub page. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

So the Arizona Great Buy 99 card game is absolutely a reimplementation of ONO 99 (itself based on a traditional card game), but it’s one I like quite a lot. The theme works perfectly, and the small gameplay tweaks feel like good quality of life updates.

OpenMW 0.50.0 for Morrowind is out with more enhancements and better gamepad support
Morrowind just got even better with the new OpenMW 0.50.0 release, the free and open source game engine reimplementation has some big fancy new features. One of the headliners being vastly improved gamepad support, allowing you to play through it properly and interact with the UI. This is going to make it a whole lot nicer to play on handhelds like the Steam Deck. They've also made "foundational steps in dehardcoding combat, further expands our Lua scripting API and, among the host of user interface fix-ups, introduces the highly requested quick item transfer". This brings a new Controller Menus option in the launcher, which slightly adjusts the in-game UI allowing you to use the "controller action buttons to navigate more conveniently through the slightly altered in-game UI" no longer limiting you to the combination of emulated mouse input. There's a lot they've improved elsewhere including: * Better NPC AI pathfinding. * Improvements to sneaking. * Settings are now actually saved when you exit the settings, not the game itself. * Improved graphics compatibility with various modded assets. * Fixes for normal mapping and parallax mapping graphics issues. * Some big improvements to scripting for modders, like allowing modders to manipulate the weather.
