The good news is I left myself appropriate instructions in the repo's readme (and the GPG notes I took for this blog post from last year blog.nimblepros.com/blogs/signin... ). So it was ultimately painless.

(Said blog post could now receive a sequel potentially...)

The top level directory in our repo's have a ton of .json, .yaml, or .*ANOTHER_APPLICATION* config files in them. This hurts my OCD tendencies every time I see it as most apps don't let you define a custom directory. I guess thats just something I have to live with, like astigmatism.

Oh gods what a face I made on today's stream! Turned on separate eye blinking for the model so I guess this is to be expected from now on lmaoo

This repo contains all the examples that I use to help remind myself of things about C++20/23 that I forget. The language is so huge that it is hard to remember it all at once. I also have repo's for C++11 and C++17. I know I am not the only one who cannot remember all this stuff at once.

we're in the big 26 and i still cant use git to reference a single folder of another repo in my own repo, while also being able to comit that reference to my own repo so when other people clone it they also grab the other repo's folder

:D

It’s wild how accessible APIs have become. This repo’s huge index makes finding public endpoints as easy as exploring a digital bazaar. What’s one API you wish everyone knew?

Thanks for tuning in! REPO's always a good time and basically we're the experts at it. Too sleepy for Kirby today. Bad sleep last nite. But TOMORROW, the Riders will Return.......

The video is: old.reddit.com/r/unixporn/c...

The audio is screen recorded with Obs from the strudel repo's code getting started (strudel.cc/workshop/get...) and then code was pasted into strudel.cc repl

It was edited in KdenLive
[KDE] setting up that dock was a real headache.

TIL from a worktree you can get the base repo's `.git` path with `git rev-parse --path-format=absolute --git-common-dir`. Add `/..` onto the end and you're back at the base repo path. Very useful for worktree startup scripts.

If you're using a Mac, check out https://github.com/unixorn/tumult.plugin.zsh

It's a collection of scripts that let you control a lot of your Mac's behavior from the CLI. You don't need a ZSH framework to use it - all the framework code does is add the repo's bin directory to your PATH.

Zouden de llm's niet genoeg hebben aan goede documentatie en git repo's?

soon others shall reach the "contempt for the new Claude being dumb as a doornail" stage, just as we did for Sonnet 3.5, 3.7, 4.0, 4.5

"just have everyone on your team run `git config`, that's fine, right?"

I've shared the ways I'm using the PSBlueSky #PowerShell module in the repo's Discussion section. How are you using the module?

If you can’t slap the credit card down for groceries, you may not make your car payment. Or mortgage payment.

And car repo’s are already up.
JPM DESK: If a credit-card cap were implemented, “there would likely be a significant reduction in credit offered, .. so this would be a de facto monetary tightening. What would be the analogous number of rate hikes ..? I am not sure, but feels like it would be similar to multiple rate hikes.”

My Claude Code starter template GitHub repo has 1600+ GitHub stars now and at least ~1000 visitors/week. I wanted to rewrite my repo's README file, so asked Claude Code Opus 4.5 to create 3 additional README versions tailored to different styles of users/learners github.com/centminmod/m... enjoy 🤓

Long overdue update Note: DivestOS repo's, including Mull, have been suspended.
Fennec, however, is still an amazing and up-to-date browser.

Yes! That's the whole point of the FS42 thing. The whole repo's on Github with solid instructions. Happy to help if you guys decide to give it a go.

@hatzka @b0rk Most of this FS-specific behavior is explicitly stored in the repo's .git/config - Git only checks the actual file system behavior once, when the repo is inited, and remembers that. This arguably makes it not quite as bad, because copying an existing clone from a case-insensitive […]

Feels like it happened this week! Or maybe my repo's org (Azure-Samples) set it default on this week, forcing me to discover the setting and override it :)

Repo's are possible to get removed from the 3 major bureaus. Just gotta be patience and stay the course.
