I feel this one big time. I started taking a pre/probiotic that is a blend of flora that tends to work to reduce gerd/heartburn related issues. Been doing it for about a month, and have been enjoying actual reduced symptoms. Miss out on it once thinking it couldn't hurt, boom: back, worse than ever.

Exploring probiotic use for maternal gut health
Credit: Unsplash/CC0 Public Domain A new Burnet study has examined how probiotics could potentially treat gut-related conditions in pregnant women. Environmental enteric dysfunction (EED) is more commonly found in children, particularly in low-resource settings. Although pregnant women are affected, EED is difficult to diagnose due to the risks associated with current diagnostic methods. Pregnancy increases the need for nutrients like iron, calcium and folic acid.

qPCR data showed no significant engraftment for any of the strains, relative to the average 1/Ct value at baseline (red dashed line), in the placebo group (some noise, likely due to primers amplifying endogenous strains). Only A. muciniphila and B. infantis showed engraftment in the treatment group.

Your „probiotic intellectual diarrhea“ makes you think that a alleged Krav Maga move is somehow related to the death of George Floyed which accomplices Israel to the vicious deed of a white supremacist. That is what I call antisemitism! And yes in democratic Israel many people are against this war.

Using an unrelated, or even a closely related, but metabolically distinct probiotic bacterium did not work. If I understand correctly, this means that the therapeutic strain will have to be closely matched to the pathogen, if this approach is going to work in the clinic.
