His withdrawal from others is only temporary, he's just drawing upon the tried and true knowledge of the Ala Mhigan monks of yore
What are some coping methods your wol / oc uses when times are rough? Are these considered healthy coping mechanisms to them, or are they rather unhealthy and they know it?

What prompted them to use it & what kind of consequences did it have?
(Could be a canon LB, but plz elaborate!)

I'll rate Phae's stealth at a solid 8, he's beaten out by sneakier peers like Thancred and Yugiri
He's well disciplined when it comes to trailing people and infiltrating heavy guarded areas due to his NIN experience

Phae has so many but they're often corny rather than cold
Eg, to Vauthry: "This was your Final Heaven, enjoy hell."
What's the coldest one-liner your WoL has ever dropped to a defeated foe, and which defeated foe did they use it on?

Aetheryte travel is as mundane and trivial to Phae as it is taking a subway in a non-fantasy world
He's been doing it since he was at least a teen and since it's normal in FFXIV's world, he doesn't think much of it
At least until his buddy Thancred wasn't able to use aether anymore
To explain: The process aethertravel consists of breaking down the physical body into aether particles through the teleport spell so it can flow through the stream and be tangible again upon arrival.

To Phae, nothing like riding an animal on land through the vast wilderness, whether it's a Chocobo or something else
He's taking a huge liking to the Seikret he received lately, which is LIKE a Chocobo but from a different world
What's your WoL/OCs preferred method of transport?
Would they want a quick speedy transport or do they prefer luxury?

I have seen people say the WoL is the strongest on the planet now, and there isn't much to challenge them now
How strong do you see your WoL/OC? Are they truly unbeatable now?

"The firebird is majestic, it's a shame that she threatened to kill me and cry over me afterwards."
- Phaethon to Tataru later after his first meeting with an Aramitama-filled Suzaku
What was your WoL's (Oc's) first impression of their future significant other? Was it love at first sight? Or did they perhaps have a wrong first impression?

Phae is pretty introspective. He's always looking inward, it's part of one of the many things he learned through both experience and the path of a monk
If he determines he's in the wrong, all pride must be cast aside. He'll apologize to them. Even treat them to a drink or something

Phae is primarily best suited for close combat. He has his bare fists, his twin blades, or even his greatsword (in less frequency)
An experienced adventurer never comes unprepared, however! He regularly employs magic in the form of ninjustsus.

Phae enjoys a good fight. He thinks it's a good way to understand someone. Are they aggressive and relentless? Or they do prefer to step back and do things in a more analytical way? What's their limit point?

While Phae's wielding twinblades for his Viper stint, he favors his own fists and limbs
Unarmed, he's actually more dangerous!
It's his own mastery of chakra manipulation, both his own and surrounding environment's, that's his secret to massively boosting his martial arts techniques

Phae has only seen energy drinks in Solution 9 and he's under the opinion they're going to make your heart implode. He already finds Alexandrian culture weird enough
He'll take old fashioned tea/coffee but he's not going to go nuts with it

Not in any official sense. Phae represents the Fist of Rhalgr wherever he goes though and has greatly helped revive the once decimated faction.
He'll point any martial art hopefuls, wanting to emulate him, to the organization instead, where Widargelt will be waiting to receive them.
Is your WoL an advisor to any nations or organisations? If so - what do they advise on?

Phae is able to change his aether's properties via Monk stances or using Viper techniques (Water aspected)
But his default state is radiant, red, and fire aspected.
Although he never tried "tasting" it, a voidsent eating it would probably say it's like cinnamon, whatever that is to it
So; tell us.
What does your OCs / WOLs aether look like? What does it taste like? What does it feel like? Is it significant or shaped by anything specific?
(And can N’ami have some? /lh)

Pre-adventurer Phae had a natural proficiency with unarmed brawls. But he was also adept with a pair of twin knives which was easier for defending himself against any beastkin
No magic skill whatsoever, that came much later through his ninjutsus.

He can swim but it's much funnier pretending to drown because he's literally incapable of drowning via that Kojin ritual in Stormblood.
He'll nap facedown in the water surface sometimes much to any onlookers' horror
can ur wol swim, are they good at it?
luna cannot. they doggy paddle and usually gotta be saved 😔

Phae canonically has a bunny variant of Ninja's Limit Break, dubbed Usagimatsuri by Yugiri
If Phae badly messes up his hand signals for the mudra ritual, the aether knives will instead turn into giant, useless bunny mediums that jump down on his target, dealing absolutely no damage
What's a hc you have for your WoL/OC that sounds like a shitpost but is 100% Canon to your characters lore? #WOLQOTD

Once Phae has left a worthy successor to carry on his star sheparding duties, and assuming he doesn't die on his adventures, he's gonna live it up at Reisen Temple, passing the days eating dangos with Suzaku and the rest of the Four Lords
what's your OC's retirement plan? what do they do when they grow too old, injured or otherwise become unable to continue doing what they currently do?
if they don't have a retirement plan yet, what's something you as writer could see them doing?

It's canon but Phae wasn't involved or nowhere around that stuff.
I like to imagine there was another hero before Phae who exhibited Warrior of Light qualities without the Blessing.
Someone who fought primals and resisted their influence with sheer willpower. A Dunban if you will
How much of 1.0 through to Dalamud’s fall’s MSQ is canon for your WoL? In that how much of the story were they active participants in? Were they even at Carteneau?

Phae will do regular maintenance on his blades, particularly after extended use.
He knows the importance of keeping them sharp and polished, whether it's his twinblades or his less often used greatsword. Plus, it's a little therapeutic.

He isn't religious but he's still spiritual, if that makes any sense.

He follows the creed and traditions of the Ala Mhigan monks but it's for defending the weak and his self improvement.

Suzaku has canonically pointed out that she isn't immortal, so she too will die someday.
Obviously, Phae is going to die first since he's not an auspice and just a mortal Hyur
Suzaku can slow down his aging for a longer lifespan with her powers, however
