(Perimyotis subflavus). ⬇️

Time to go survey for some wintering bats. Thankfully, the survey window was changed to accommodate the crappy cold, wet weather we are having and today looks like the weather will be tolerable.

The tricolored bat (Perimyotis subflavus) is an insectivorous bat found across North America. Similar to the little brown bat and others, they are vulnerable to a fungal disease called white nose syndrome. There is no cure. If you see a bat with a white nose, it may be inching toward death. (1/?)
