#PCIe3
On latest I have crashes in some newer games when I play on max settings due to that MES issues :/

Do you have that GPU on PCIe3 or 4?

Talking specifically about these 52pi pcie3 ones

i was putting in a second GPU and decided to also swap my newer boot nvme out of the more convenient pcie2 m.2 slot into an under-the-main-gpu pcie3 m.2 slot mostly out of train brain bc i didn’t really think it would do anything.

i noticed immediately the first time it booted

(yes my pc is old)

define "known PCIe3 exploits"
June 10, 2025 at 5:53 PM
@retr0.id "MicroSD Express slot supports the SD Express 7.1 standard, which exposes a true PCIe Gen3 x1 interface and utilizes the NVMe protocol for communication." Would it be possible to use known PCIe3 exploits with this?

Wow. 33% speed boost upgrading from a pcie3 mobo to a pcie4 mobo. 30 tok/s to 40 tok/s in my testing model. 🤯

The performance loss is only in the latency of the ACK NAK responses. The actual bulk data bandwidth is fine. Like I say PCIe3 we have now nearly reached saturation. PCIe4 were just bellow half saturation...
Each generation provides precisely double bandwidth.

And that B2B connector might be borderline to spec. So pcie5 'eye' signal is too noisy. Too thick... And frankly just stick the cards into pcie4 mode. There's is no real performance loss. Just ever so slightly more latency for packet confirmation.
Pcie3 is nearly reaching bandwidth situation,

Duvida: uma 6600 em oito lanes pcie3 (ao invés de oito em pcie4) é bottleneck?
February 22, 2025 at 9:52 PM
If it doesn't detect it in both slots and the previous one works fine, then it might be weird incompatibility issue or the drive is DOA and you want RMA. Also you can totally use pcie4 drive, it will just work at pcie3 speeds

well the motherboard is fine i figured out what the issue with the ethernet port was. the motherboard only has pcie3 slots but pcie4 is backwards compat with little performance difference. if i went motherboard first i would have to wait until i could afford a new cpu and ram to make use of it
