Oh this looks good! When I was younger I watched an amazing documentary on PBS called "The Search for Longitude" - it was fascinating and I still think about it pretty often. I can't wait to read this book!

Great discussions today in Denver about what’s happening as communities see their newspapers and TV news shrink and disappear. Want to know more? Watch the film “Stripped for Parts” streaming on PBS. Thanks to Rocky Mountain Public Media for showing the documentary.

This is what impunity looks like:

"You can't have guns. You can't walk in with guns," the president said in response to a question from PBS News' Liz Landers

Patel said, "You cannot bring a firearm loaded with multiple magazines to any sort of protest that […]

Watching it and listening to Ken Burns on PBS/NPR, this is (as of yet) the most radical that Ken Burns has ever gotten and it's brilliant.

Used to be an old Cajun cook on pbs that would just delight at the olive oil being added to the pan. (He’d get a bit more excited to have a glass of wine with the meal at the end.)

The Media Research Center is weirdly angry that Wikipedia considers PBS and NPR to be acceptable news sources for articles -- but not the highly partisan right-wing outlets the MRC prefers.
