They are always in long strips. Depending on where you buy it, it could just be various deli ends. Heinens does salami and ham, provolone and cheddar. Dressing, olives and pickled celery and pepperocini. Eaten out of the container. Never over lettuce.

I just looked up antipasto "salad" to see if what I was eating is a Cleveland thing or not. There are all sorts of recipes that turn it into a real salad with lettuce and such. But the meats and cheese are cubed. That's not the Cleveland way.
