Overseeding 2日目の今日は、昨日芝刈り機で最低の高さで切って切れ目を入れた芝生に人力で穴を開けて行く作業。
数時間かかった気がする…
芝面に穴を開けるのは、空気の通りを良くする、肥料が地面に行き易くする為
穴を開けて集まったcores (土の塊)はそのまま芝に残す人もいるけど、この辺の土は粘土質なので、拾って歩く

i like my neighbour but after watching him daily watering his stupid grass this summer i am planning next year's alternative to a mown lawn. going to start with overseeding clover and planting some more drought-tolerant shrubs.

Because they're top 4 seeds. Arizona State and Boise State finished 9th and 12th in the playoff rankings so if it just went straight by the rankings they'd be on the road in round one. My bracket gives them home games without overseeding them.

When we purchased the farm in late 2021, this 5.5 acre field had been neglected & was in early succession.
Three seasons of clearing, overseeding, mowing, & management, and it's now:
3.5 acres of pasture
0.5 acres of pawpaw orchard
1.5 acres of rewilded riparian
+ 4 beehives

I’ve been overseeding with micro clover. From a distance you can’t tell. The bees love it, it doesn’t go crazy growing like grass does when it’s extra wet, and stays green when it’s dry. Overall I’ve been happy with it.

(They're in the garden now, along with Small Skullcap (for my new borders), Zizea aurea (overseeding a meadow that needs more early bloomers), and Partridge pea ("readily self seeds" is a lie but I love it).

over years, and overseeding with multiple clovers (mostly red and Dutch white but also some natives) and low profile native wildflowers, do wood chip and straw scatterings 3x per year, and finally put 4 clumps of rescued camas bulbs in 2 years ago. What a long, long road lol.

I did some late fall and early winter overseeding in the yard with a grass/clover mix.
The clover is going nuts and we aren’t even to Spring yet. I may have solved the issue out back with grass not wanting to grow.

I have been overseeding with clover in the past fews years. I also have weeds and mini strawberries. My lawn is biodiversity at its best 🤣 less maintenance, healthier and stays green during dry summers ❤️
