Yesterday, the Associated Press published a story about anti-abortion crisis pregnancy centers that illustrates perfectly how traditional notions of journalistic objectivity and “both sides” coverage fail to meet the current moment—and even facilitate the spread of disinformation.

The Associated Press Does Free PR for Crisis Pregnancy Centers
A recent story is a glaring example of how traditional journalistic “objectivity" is far from unbiased, and can even facilitate the spread of disinformation.

Your family & friends have some objectivity that you may be lacking. He's older than you & very controlling."The silent treatment" is a childish manipulation. He sounds exhausting to be around. Wish him well with therapy but close the door on any future together; you've wasted enough energy on him.

Pokemon haters are currently so desperate on youtube.
Since most people who actually played the game enjoy it a lot, they go much more for the "Pokemon fans are the reason everything is shit" reasoning.
There is no objectivity in what they say, just pointing fingers.

But replacement of combustible cigarettes by safer smoke-free nicotine products now proceeding rapidly & unstoppable. i just think reporters should probably have a view on the fascist rapist trying to export that ideology to the rest of us, instead of pretending to, & hiding behind, a false set of “objectivity” guidelines that empower said fascism. otherwise, i’m sorry, but media are part of the project by default

This is closely related to the utterly misguided view that the only standard for truth that the media can appeal to is internal consistency: a person is only a liar or wrong if they're contradicting something they themselves said earlier. It's the empty performance of objectivity.

    To simplify:
Objectivity is observing an object and stating what it factually is. Eg "the stone is a stone".
Having two different people share two different opinions on the stone is not objectivity. That's just two people's subjective view on the stone

This, like so much of Weiss' past work, relies on the biased and wholly false conflation of criticism of the genocidal actions of the Israeli government with support for "killing Jews." These things are obviously not the same to anyone with half a brain and even a smidgeon of objectivity.

The flaw in communication is the implication of objectivity where it simply doesn't belong. Doesn't help when people intentionally obfuscate things by claiming their opinion is, in fact, the objective truth.
