Yet some parents opposed their daughters having HPV vaccination because they claimed it might make it easier for their daughters to become sexually promiscuous!
Australia just recorded zero cervical cancer cases in women under 25 for the first time since records began in 1982. The amazing result of HPV vaccination.

We have a mix of 'ram raids' on dairies to get cigarettes, homegrown, 😎 more in remote areas, tobacco to feed black market and some smuggled tobacco. We sadly also have our share of anti harm reduction anti vapers with same old moral stance on 'addiction' and desperately looking for vaping harms.

@who.int included Nicotine Replacement Therapy in list of Essential Medicines in 2009 but today regards nicotine in safer, smoke-free options as target for eradication! Please explain flagrant contradiction @profglantz.com @jgitchell.bsky.social @aliveadvocacy.bsky.social @igas2.bsky.social
UNAIDS supports harm reduction. WHO supports ILLICIT drug harm reduction... NOW. It hides the fact that during the 1980s "just say no" craze, WHO opposed illicit drug harm reduction... leading many low- and middle-income countries to EXECUTE drug users (a pretty big violation of human rights).

Any Kiwis if you’re listening please chime in. No evidence of New Zealand vape black market as NZ makes legal vapes easy to get. But NZ & Australia both have sky high cigarette excise, both have sky high cig black market @aliveadvocacy.bsky.social @igas2.bsky.social @algore09algor.bsky.social
Has New Zealand's Governments - being soooooo Greedy for Cigarette Tax Revenue - that they have Forced Smokers on to the Black Market?
Australia has.

Suggest harm reduction advocates put “WHO” inverted commas as true world health organisation would support application of HR to all psychoactive substances for which there is overwhelming evidence of effectiveness & safety as there is for tobacco HR @sanho.bsky.social @jgitchell.bsky.social
Every WHO tobacco control document I have read that mentions harm reduction puts that in quotes, and equates 'harm reduction' with "industry interference."

This is a propaganda tactic. Increasingly flimsy claim as more and more experts who have no industry ties endorse harm reduction.

We’ll never know for sure who leaked report of conversation but what’s much more important is we now know for sure US 100% on Russia’s side. Why pretend otherwise? @timothysnyder.bsky.social @anneapplebaum.bsky.social
The U.S. believes it was Ukrainian intelligence that recorded and leaked Steve Witkoff’s call with Putin’s aide to the media, according to journalist Serhiy Sydorenko from European Pravda.

Hey, is this yours? It is a really good quote, useful and descriptive, with explanatory power :-)

Please send the specific document. The recent WHO position on Tobacco Control and Harm Reduction www.who.int/publications... says “When it comes to tobacco, nicotine and related products, a [true] harm reduction agenda should never be a reason for light touch regulation or a deregulation agenda.”

Some very good things in this bill but a Wodak government would also start a process of substantial reduction in fossil fuel production, use & sale immediately. All now long overdue @simonahac.bsky.social @allegraspender.bsky.social @quentindempster.bsky.social @johnquiggin.bsky.social

Article 1 (d) FCTC:

‘(d) “tobacco control” means a range of supply, demand and harm reduction strategies that aim to improve the health of a population by eliminating or reducing their consumption of tobacco products and exposure to tobacco smoke;’

Is FCTC aligned with Big Tobacco?
