So as it turns out, "Paleoctober" was taken. It's not that serious, but as it turns out @djigr.bsky.social of Chicken Wings fame has been running their own art challenge by that name since 2019. So, to avoid confusion, I'll be renaming my thingy to #PaleoMori. Everything else will be the same.
A promotional poster for a personal art challenge called Paleoctober where an artist chooses to draw at least one prehistoric animal per day for the month of October according to a given list of animals. More specifically the poster is: A black ink sketch of an archaic, bipedal "kangaroo stance" reconstruction of an iguanodon skeleton on a brown background facing the user's left. Scrolling horizontally from the back of the skull to the top right corner of the image are the words "PALEOCTOBER 2025" The word "Paleoctober" has been slashed out with a red "x". In the negative space between the prompt list and rules the term "PaleoMori2025" has been scrawled in handwriting rather than clean text. Immediately below that is a list of prehistoric animals that read from left to right, top to bottom, with the left most listings following the shape of the iguanodon's spine. Starting from the base of the tail down to the just above the shortest neural spines is an identically formatted list of rules for the challenge. Both the list of animals and rules will be included in the alt text of the next image. I generally draw a lot of things that interest me or something that goes with my own worldbuilding projects and lore. One of 'em are alien dragon people that I call "dracoghouls". But I can draw like dinos and other creatures too.
A legendary blue-glowing bioluminscent wyrm leviathiform (plesiosaur/aquatic reptile-like) that breathes a high-temperature, ionised energy beam, said to wreck spacecraft in space with its gigantic size, that moves so fast that one would perceive it as invisible. Two sky blue draconians (or Dracoghouls), where the right is vaguely ghoul-like though distinguished by his webbed hands and dark segmented ridges and the left is a proper dragon with goggles, looks over their larger boat with a smaller boat stand with three Naric ghouls. The middle boat ghoul looks at the two onlookers, convincing them of a sale, while the right ghoul on the boat holds a paddle and the large, left ghoul looks at the lone blue ghoul on the platform with his small pet pseudo-rodent (descended like all of them, from native Drachic wildlife). On the top right are two conversing Dracoghouls, one on the left is a light pink ghoul talking, while on the right is a “mekhira” (a half-dragon/half-ghoul Nari hybrid that is rare due to draconic assimilation but sometimes happens in their kind in contemporary times), pushing a small cart carrying frozen ice. This is set in a tropical, wetland location where travelling by river is a social custom for the Nari on this planet. A female gryphon guardian and a male dragon warrior fight to slay the forsaken ancient wyvern ruler resurrected by the wyverns themselves in a cloudy sunfall/dusk. The head of the wyvern "master" resembles that of a Dilophosaurus but has the capacity to breathe fire, while the gryphon and dragon are comparable in size and are wearing armour, while the gryphon holds up a shield and spear. The dragon is rushing into the breath of the giant forbidden wyvern with his spear. The small wyverns come in a group of four in the composition and coming out from the cave. A Nothosaurus (semi-aquatic sauropterygian reptile in the Triassic period) on the beach, basking off a cloudy sunrise. In the background there is foliage. (Never mind some potentially anachronistic flora...)

The reference material was primarily from a German Museum housing a skeleton, and also an illustration from @/SerpenIllus. Nothosaurus is rather present in media despite its lack of reference material out there!

A Nothosaurus (semi-aquatic sauropterygian reptile in the Triassic period) on the beach, basking off a cloudy sunrise. In the background there is foliage. (Never mind some potentially anachronistic flora...) A group of various Nari individuals with varying colours that match the wheel of their respective hues (divided up to eight), though some of them do not necessarily match the same colour. In the centre is the text "Color Wheel Challenge: Naric Edition", with the time of the project starting on 25th February 2025 and ending on 3rd March 2025. There are two major distinct types of Nari depicted, the original "ghouls" (those without a set of underbelly scales and with ears) and the modified "draconians" (those with dragon/dinosaur-like features). A full portrait of Caphalia Solis (some character I made in May 2024 to pad out history), a were-Liopleurodon (or is it just a generic anthro Liopleurodon?) in the usual form taken for a werebeast in this "world" and her animal form behind her. She holds up a quill and holds up a encased scroll and a dagger. A slender, amphibious, biolumniscent predator that is seeking out some swimming "fish" (also biolumniscent) in shallow waters where they generally reside. It usually stays out the water for a few minutes (holding onto its gills) before it surrounds and strangles smaller prey.

It's noteworthy there's a very plesiosaur-like "Nothosaure" on print page 513 on that book.

This solidifies my impression that the animals on the illustration you're asking about are only intended to be fairly generic reptiles for the so-called Age of Reptiles.

Uit het Jura hebben we helaas bijna niks in NL, maar het oudere Trias in Winterswijk en het jongere Krijt uit Maastricht hebben resp. Nothosaurus en Mosasaurus opgeleverd. En nog veel meer… heel fijne fossielen!
