He manages the final movement decently but it was too late for me. After all the bombast in the 1st movement, the 3rd movement is weirdly neutered, tempo is fine but no passion. 2nd is goopy; the little downward cello scale at the end of the main motif is all garbled. I just can't connect.

Did the heel, realized I’d seriously messed up, frogged back a ton, reknit to about 1/4 thru the heel, went to bed, woke up in a 5am panic that I should have increased instep stitches, and proceeded accordingly after more sleep. HEAVILY modified Pupusukat pattern. Yarns in alt. 🧶
Hand knit toe-up sock in progress on my foot, just up to my ankle. Cream toe, green grass/pink flowers along a cream fence motif followed by pink and brown scallops under chocolate bunny outlines with cream ears against a blue sky with some handy rainbow variegation. From there we have another cream fence against grass motif (and then the circular knitting needle). The sole is knit mostly in pattern but without the chocolate bunny profiles - at that point the sole becomes alternating blue and cream stockinette with visible gusset increases, blending into green and cream before the actual heel of green and lighter green. Yarns are Malabrigo Rios (cream), Wonderland Yarns and Frabjous (the blue and rainbow variegated), Malabrigo sock in Lettuce and also dark pink, the brown is from an indie dyer (label not in front of me) and the remaining colors are from my local yarn store, The Twisted Knitter (hand dyed by the owner).

Around 1925, he painted Las coristas (Coristas de pueblo) [“The Chorus Girls (Village Chorus Girls)” – Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, Barcelona] and during those years various works with a similar motif, especially prostitutes, those “ladies of the night”. Chorus Girls in the Museo Carmen Thyssen Málaga Collection is linked directly with the theme of prostitution via the “madam”, who sits dressed in black on the left, fanning herself and clutching her (money?) bag very tightly. This is also a subject typical in literature, the scenes being very close to those depicted in paintings. However, stories are only rarely (strictly speaking almost never) used as sources for pictorial art. The last chapter in the second series of Madrid. Scenes and Customs (1918), entitled The Chorus Girls, can be compared to this and other, similar paintings. Solana stressed the more sordid aspects of everyday life, particularly connected with the world of eroticism and sex. In this composition, he placed his characters in “a fleapit in the slums” with the performance over and the splendour of the show almost gone (with what little there was) and dirt and squalor everywhere. A set of three super bowls that used to be my mother's. The 1970s "Harvest Gold" colour scheme is not one I'd have chosen, but I like them because the "handles" are actually pouring spouts, one slightly bigger than the other.
A set of three glassware mixing bowls from the 1970s. They're in a brownish-orange colour marketed at the time as "Harvest Gold", with the biggest bowl in a darker shade. They also have a wheat stalk motif on the sides, and white insides. What might be mistaken for handles on either end are in fact pouring spouts, one slightly bigger than the other.

Nous avons examiné cette jolie reliure de la Renaissance, qui est dans un état assez pitoyable, pour voir ce que nous pourrions faire pour rendre le livre à nouveau consultable...
Un livre ancien vu du dessus. Il est relié en cuir de veau brun, avec un motif doré au centre. La reliure présente de nombreuses marques d'usure. A gauche, on voit que le dos se détache. Le livre vu de profil, disposé sur un futon de consultation rouge. On voit que le dos est en piteux état, complètement éclaté.
