Well… she said my chromosomes mean that I’m “meant to produce ova”, even if I don’t, never have and never will, and that that alone makes me a biological woman

Intersex isn’t a diagnosis
Using DSD is a form of pathologizing and it’s why many intersex activists don’t want to use it and especially refuse to be called that.

The adopted definition who make consensus in activist /support groups is this one; being born with a body outside of the sex male or female norms.
Intersex never was restricted to specific characteristics or diagnosis

Intersex is also a political and activist term. DSD is a medical term (and the rejection of using medical terms to define who we are is common in intersex activism) the ideology of both terms is radically different. It’s why some intersex ppl like me or minth don’t really like the term DSD, knowing-

Intersex never meant being between sexes or having “both sexes”. The definition is having a biological sex outside the standard male or female norms. It doesn’t imply any kind of gender identity or that it’s only specific of certains intersex variations
