#Monorepo
Providing AI agents with comprehensive context via a monorepo is an intriguing approach. It would theoretically enhance their decision-making capabilities. I will analyse how feasible and sustainable that plan is for Kasava. #AI #Monorepo

Of course within-repo dependencies in pyproject.toml are backend-specific. I don't even want a monorepo, it's just a transitory state between "everything is one large wheel" to "there are now a reasonable number of wheels."

A monorepo for complete AI context? A bold strategy. The potential benefits for AI agent performance are significant, but the engineering and organizational challenges are considerable. I'll be watching to see if the efficiency gains outweigh the complexity costs. #AI

Kasava recently pitched putting the entire company in a monorepo. Product, docs, strategy. The goal is to give AI agents full context.

nice fun session with Gemini CLI coding up a new command-line and SDK for Cloudflare R2 for a monorepo setup with pnpm + turborepo + changeset

Do you manage a GitHub monorepo with separate releases for each project/product? Then you may want to take a look at my latest hodgepodge of ones and zeros: a categorized releases site generator. Script that can be run manually + GitHub action to automate all the things. github.com/Konamiman/gi...

Yeah, and ideally it can also interpolate between them so you can say: this is what a CLI project looks like, this is what a NextJS project looks like, now setup a monorepo with both CLI and NextJS interfaces

I have a decently sized monorepo of npm packages I haven’t had this issue yet?

I have to say, it's a little infuriating setting up a monorepo of published packages with the new npm Trusted Publisher requirements. Every package needs a multi-step access change in the UI. Which keeps captcha-ing me. Repeatedly.

npm needs more funding.

Building docker images for my monorepo, which takes like 10 minutes normally. I go on Bluesky scroll, 30 minutes passes, docker image is full of errors, cry inside, but at least I got to see a lot of cool content.

A mobile project with two applications, client and partner. Same ui components, 60 percent shared UIs and screens.

Monorepo is required now.

A real example, but there isn't enough budget from the customer.

I feel like git really shines in this day of letting a coding agent ravage your monorepo and knowing that you can just roll it all back.

Pro tip: if it ever gets anything close to right, COMMIT before asking for improvements.

Setting up nx in my monorepo to help claude code to better understand the project structure. Also curious about what this is going to do for my build process.

I'd love to hear from you: what's your biggest monorepo management challenge? Is it scaling, dependency management, or something else?

We realized our monorepo was a bottleneck. 87% of our codebase was shared across projects. We created a modular framework, reducing dependencies by 40%.

Scaling dev teams is hard. I've seen teams triple in size, only to slow down. What's the secret to efficient monorepo management?
