I haven't watched that many anime movies but the only Shinkai movies I've watched are Kumo no Mukou Yakusoku no Basho and Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo and I don't remember anything about them except for being bored by the former and baffled by the latter + I've never rewatched them so probably one of those

I'd never heard Kodomo. No idea why, we were probably in the same room at some point. Listening to "Still Life" he's even deeper into the Boards of Canada pocket universe, but again not a bad thing. BOC is our folk music and Kodomo's on BOC like Joan Baez rocking Child Ballads.
