When I first enrolled at JHSPH, I had a whole study plan that would end up developing free, digitally housed health education and self-guided behavior change materials because we simply couldn't trust systems ever again.

That was ass-backwards, but it seems like it was a widespread ass-backwardism.
New paper, led by our brilliant PhD student Ilse Dijkstra. In it, we argue based upon an analysis of handbooks, that health promotion professionals have been socialized into an individualistic, top-down interventionist paradigm. 1/
