It's almost as if child food insecurity is a policy choice. #Bioethics
Using difference-in-differences analysis, we found a universal 15% increase in SNAP benefits was linked to a 20% reduction in the odds of child food insufficiency.

Hispanic American households experienced a 39% reduction, and large households showed a 33% reduction in child food insufficiency.

Which is why bioethics tends not to claim that all eugenics is facially unethical. Is there a moral purpose to giving birth to a baby who will scream in agony for 12 weeks and then die? One bigger than "it's just a slippery slope if you abort knowing what awaits them"?

I did a class on bioethics as part of my biochem degree, which also encouraged us to reflect on personal experiences, and I'd still have deservedly got a zero if I'd failed to cite a single fucking source, and stuck rigidly to a single interpretation without examining the relative merits of others.

I'm having to advise my Ethics and Bioethics students that they can no longer rely on .gov sites to tell them the truth, but must verify them with less partisan information sources.
We’ve had people from the U.S. and abroad asking whether the information on the White House website is even accurate anymore. The site has become unreliable, filled with blatantly false and deliberately misleading content.

A thing that happens a lot when you have any kind of bioethics training is that you get asked to opine on, or teach, or facilitate discussions regarding situations that are not ethically murky in the least, which does not engender confidence in the judgment of the person making the request.
