later i had a short email exchange with the company where they told me they'd fixed the vulnerability and asked me if I could confirm

their "fix" was inserting a clause to kill the app if jdb was attached

the part I found so funny was they went to such lengths to try and obscure the js decryption keys, actually writing NDK deobfuscator modules to make it harder to RE, when you could just fire up the app and trivially call the decryption function from jdb
