A brief aside for 'Why Hrid?': This behavior of him swooping in to be Anna's bane of existence was directly inspired by the Day in the Life episode, where he ends up running interference with his sisters when he sussed out her scheme in summer banner:

The reason why Gunnthra took priority to Teru (over Takumi/Xander) compared to Hrid getting buried under Ryoma's/Lif's mess is Gunnthra's Rite of Dreams carried over from Teru's OG Zenith, which is what led to Hrid doing the same rite to Erin instead when Gunnthra couldn't connect to her as planned.

As for actual Playing The Card Game, I see Laegjarn as being more into midrange thinky decks than all out "turn stuff sideways" aggro, which i would put more firmly in the hands of someone like Gunnthra or Dagr.
