Inventing a whole new accent with my typos over here. What kind of person would call something "sigbificant"? Sounds posh and foolish.

Are the scented authors the ones who got too into the autumn candle scene, or the ones too busy writing to shower?

I just sent a text about a submission opportunity, and the spellchecker changed "agented and unagented authors" to "scented and unscented authors."

Nothing brings your attention to the similarities between words like spelling one wrong.

In other news, something funny is now "anusing," which disturbs me greatly.

Typo of the Day:

Apparently I'm writing a "rough daft" right now. Seems accurate.

Don't you just love hitting the space bar too soon, and ending up with a different set of real words that spellcheck won't catch?

In other news, "got it" just turned into "go tit." Which is a very different sentiment than the one I was meaning to write.

Sometime you spell a word wrong, and it just looks like a mistake. Other times, you discover an especially cartoonish sound effect.

I meant to write "showing," but ended up with "shwoing."

Another typo for the list of how to ruin a sentence's impact with one letter:

I was writing about an overwhelming, tragic bitterness and a move toward empathy ... but I typed "butterness" instead.

Ah yes, the good ol' sneaky typo "viscous" instead of "vicious." Nobody wants to read about predators that are goopy instead of terrifying.

(Yes, some can be both. This one's not.)
