New feature in @heatmap.news:

When the Energy Department gave out $800 million to GE-Hitachi and Holtec's reactors last week, I couldn't help but wonder: What happened to NuScale?

The company was once the leading SMR project.

But forerunners ≠ frontrunners.

Is Vanni Sartini returning to coaching? It sure seems like it.

And in what would be a huge coup for the #CanPL, the Halifax Wanderers are frontrunners, per OneSoccer.

From tactics to personality, this move makes sense for all.

I have no problems with this beyond that I like all the frontrunners for once and always like when the wealth is spread a bit! But One Battle is my favorite of the year so far, and I doubt Avatar will dislodge it! Good show!

I definitely do not believe one needs to be of a particular race, but all the white men who are frontrunners are the “smooth it over” type…. Yes this includes Pritzker and Newsome. Also below is an article on your boy, Bern.

Sanders’ evolution on race may not have come soon enough | CNN Politics
Bernie Sanders’ biggest selling point in 2016 was that he was the only person in the Democratic primary running not named Hillary Clinton.

1. lol at Kat's campaign not wanting to say that the Palestinian family dinner was primarily a fundraiser

2. she does not respect Chicago DSA, and is correct not to based on the org just letting two of the three frontrunners be late scratches on the forum
A campaign staffer posted in the server this morning that she “had an event with Palestinian families and community supporters”

Not sure the details of the event at an Oak Lawn? restaurant yesterday or when it was planned, but DSA organizers say the forum had been planned for a while

I currently don't seem how to sketch a scenario 4 in which these barriers seem surmountable where the challenge is being contested by the incumbent. (Cf: veto point of the current leadership/NEC in scenario 1. A similar process problem for this non-MP candidacy if existing MPs are frontrunners)

(screenshotted to show full context)

Inviting five people and only two of them coming, two people firmly in the second tier of this election while two of the three frontrunners don't come, is a sign that they do not respect DSA in Chicagoland. CDSA not cancelling is them not respecting themselves

We also discussed Austria’s key role and commitment in advancing the Western Balkans on their EU path.

Montenegro and Albania are frontrunners and can serve as role models for the entire region. (2/2)

Hmm I think you're being slightly disingenuous. As someone else rightfully pointed out, other great & popular 'frontrunners' like Blue Prince, E33 and Hades 2 were excluded from the Vulture List.

Why single Silksong out specifically as "a game that will be excluded from many lists going forward"?

Cooper & Pappas will likely win in NC & NH, leaving ME & MI where Mills & Stevens would stand the best chances of winning their general elections.
In the gubernatorial races, the frontrunners are SOS Benson in MI, AG Ford in NV, former LG Barnes in WI & only 1 declared candidate so far in NH.

On Sunday, December 7, Bucharest, the capital of Romania, will hold elections for a new mayor. Today, a new poll showed that the candidate backed by the extremist AUR party is now among the frontrunners, an outcome very unusual for the city’s electorate. The coming days are likely to be tense. 🫣

- Do not give up! Change is possible
- Highlight need for an “emergency mode” – make the impossible possible
- Highlight positive examples (and call out the negatives)
- Support frontrunners to critical mass

My other concern is California’s jungle primary process:

All these fucking Democrats keep jumping in while Republicans only have 2 solid frontrunners. If they split the vote so badly we end up with Chad Bianca in the general election I’m going to fight someone
@ericswalwell.bsky.social just sent me a fundraising email claiming he’s in the lead in the California governor primary

*because the fucking BETTING MARKETS said so*

and that’s just one more reason why I need this guy to lose to Katie Porter

Clean steel. Clean cement. Real projects.

Europe’s frontrunners are proving heavy industry can ditch fossils for good.

Now EU policy must turn these pioneers into the norm.

The events of the last couple of weeks are going to lead a lot of people to anoint Mark Kelly as the leading Democrat for 2028, they’re probably not way off base, and it’s a good thing this early in the game to have multiple plausible frontrunners (even if I’m not in love with their politics)

Europe cannot give up its leadership.

Now is the time to double down: reward frontrunners, phase out fossil laggards, and secure a socially fair, competitive path to climate-neutral, zero-pollution industry.
