I'd have to check to see if Forspoken and FF16 motion blur differently from CO. But this struggle with legible visibility leads me to nitpick #2:
I've always been pretty bad at parrying and had bad reflexes. I never do it in Fromsoft and I hate it in other games, too. That's on ME though

That's not the complaint. I actually like how those games look a lot. The issue is in CO's case I feel like visibility is much harder at times. Forspoken is set in big open fields, and FF16 doesn't get murky till endgame, but like, it's just kinda hard to SEE at times. I think it's the motion blur?

So I'm a bit further in Clair Obscur now and. I'm enjoying it but with a few nitpicks.
1) the game's visuals are extremely PS5 aesthetic. I'm not sure what that aesthetic is, but there's something very reminiscent of both Forspoken and FF16, visually, in the way the lighting and particle magic looks

My backlog is massive 😅 At least there's nothing coming out this year that I really want to play (so far). I'll keep my fingers crossed that you manage to play them. I liked them all, a good selection (though I haven't played Forspoken).

The deeper I get into Forspoken the more convinced I am that it was a victim of bad marketing. It plays very similarly to some incredibly beloved RPGs (God of War 2018, Nier: Automata) and has better writing than at least God of War did, which is an incredibly low bar, but still.

Forspoken was fine, I think some of your are just racist and sexist. If a male character acted the way Frey did theyd be considered complex and "troubled". Double standard.

Forspoken got done dirty. That magic system was fantastic and plot wise their constant snarking made perfect sense by the end (although the frequency definitely needed reducing)
