I mean given that I'm in customer support, my annual review might include how good I am at not giving customers a direct answer about anything.
I'd also expect office etiquette to be more important. Which could make my existence more complicated.

this was inspired by something specific but tbqh it happens a lot. do people just not care? it seems like common, basic etiquette to me. cause and effect. having a platform means more people see your words. don't let your followers imply horrible things without shutting it down.

i saw someone on tiktok talking about concert etiquette who started by saying "i've been to 42 concerts, so i've got a TON of experience" and had to remind myself that most people don't seek out disgusting warehouses with no AC or bathrooms so they can pay $6 to see terrible folk punk bands

I think it is more because there was a set answer, derived from formal usage and codefied into etiquette guides, whi h were very popular in the 19th century, but these don't apply in the 21st century.

also I hate the flavour of period dramas that're like "wow hello Famous Historical Figure. Yes Famous Event is happening, how marvellous". sorry I'm not here for assassin's creed style history 'lessons', I want interpersonal dramas complicated by strict etiquette and hierarchy. and pretty dresses.
