He claims to have stopped the DRC-Rwanda war, which continues. His "deal" is based on African Union agreements which have also failed. His "deal" is supposedly linked to an agreement to allow US mining companies in, and DRC is too weak to manage the competing claims of US and Chinese companies.

Despite many challenges and a temporarily closure of mining operations in March 2025 due to safety reasons, Alphamin continues mining tin at Bisie in the DRC. Great to see Bisie increasing the number of rigs at Mpama North and South. Read more: www.whyafrica.co.za/alphamin-dep...

We don’t always get justice - King Leopoldo is one of history’s great monsters, & should have been tried & executed for crimes against humanity, his wealth redistributed to his victims in the Congo. His monarchy overthrown entirely. This didn’t happen.
