It doesn’t create iron oxide, it does corrode into aluminum oxide, which can change its color and allow other materials to effect it. A buried chunk of aluminum can come looking rusty depending on what it’s buried in.

Like all else in a warped culture, social/cultural trends like this can easily get into the mind n start to corrode it with anti-reality distortion (luckily, early on, I felt the lie of this setup n became extremely selective about what I hooked into or believed). Yikes.

Aluminum does corrode, and can be imprinted by the material it’s being used in to look like different material. It’s really soft but does hold up well enough in sandy soil.

Yes, depending on the alloy, it can corrode easily, and the oxide on solids is white to grey, again depending on alloy. It is possible to get a black appearance when dealing with powders. Not brown.
Also, nobody makes excavator teeth out of aluminum, because it is so soft.

It is a cheap cast for those teeth, full of impurities. Pure aluminium doesn't have brown oxide. However it does corrode and can do so badly.

Many aluminum alloys have copper on them which does corrode. Pure aluminum is too soft to be much use.

Some more items in process. The blanks on the lower left are for a new item of a salt and spice grinder that uses ceramic gears to not corrode from the oils and salts. Also making dog and cat charcuterie boards. They will interlock when I get the routing perfected.
