Participants in WIC or CalWORKs: your benefits are not affected by the recent CalFresh (SNAP) delay. Aid and assistance will continue without interruption and can still be used to access the resources you need.

Depends. CalWorks can put cash money on your EBT card for non-food items. I get $20 a month but usually don’t use it and it doesn’t roll over.

Government Shutdown Talking Points/Resource List Benefits Impact • CalWORKs, General Relief, Medi-Cal, and IHSS are operating as normal and are not impacted by the federal government shutdown at this time. • Due to the federal government shutdown, CalFresh benefits will be delayed for the month of November. • CalFresh recipients will receive notification from the State, beginning October 24th, informing them that November benefits will be delayed. • CalFresh recipients should understand that receiving such a notice does not mean that their case is terminated or that they are no longer eligible for benefits. • It is important to encourage CalFresh recipients to continue complying with all reporting requirements to ensure their benefits are issued promptly once they become available.

This is what’s currently on the BenefitsCal website. We 100% are at risk of not get CalFresh in November. Medical insurance is what is through December, not food stamps

The federal government has shut down due to the failures of the President and Congress to continue government funding. Millions of Californians receiving benefits from State programs may be impacted beginning as early as November. No new federal funding supporting programs such as the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, known as CalWORKs in California, and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), known as CalFresh in California, amongst other CDSS programs, will be provided until the President and Congress take action. We are able to fund benefits for the month of October; however, a prolonged shutdown could put CDSS programs at risk. You can visit www.hhs.gov and www.usda.gov for the latest information on impacts to these and other federal programs, although be wary of potential highly partisan political messaging while visiting federal government websites.

(f) (1) The City and County of San Francisco may charge a fee for the cost of issuing a permit, not to exceed the reasonable regulatory costs of implementing this section. (2) Notwithstanding paragraph (1), the fee shall not exceed twenty five dollars ($25) for applicants that meet either of the following conditions: (A) The applicant earns less than 200 percent of the area median income. (B) The applicant is a current enrollee in, or recipient of, CalWORKs, CalFresh, general assistance, Medi-Cal, Supplemental Security Income, the State Supplementary Payment Program, the California Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, the California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) program established pursuant to Section 739.1 of the Public Utilities Code, or the Family Electric Rate Assistance program established pursuant to Section 739.12 of the Public Utilities Code.

California offers more assistance than any other state. CalWorks, GR, SSI, HHAP, HDAP, Project Roomkey, CoC, CalFresh, MediCal, PATH.

You just want a reason to complain because you’re not front & center. Get over yourself.
