The coast of the Klamath bioregion is cool and has the wettest climate in California. It is moist and often foggy. The lower elevations experience rainy winters, while the higher mountains get snow during those same months. Inland, the climate is warmer and drier.

This is the bioregion of tall trees. Many of the world’s largest examples of conifer species are found here in the Klamath region’s cool wet cathedral forests.

The territory which is proposed by the Northwest Territorial Imperative partially overlaps with the bioregion proposed by the Cascadia independence movement, and the two movements share similar flags, however they have no ties to each other as the Cascadia movement is based in bioregionalism.

Wants and needs of human beings are important to the degree that they should actually control the entire biosphere. The planet is a warehouse of resources in which agricultural and industrial production proceed to deliver commodities. Although the diversity of regions and biospheric influences over the planet provide the essential elements of those commodities, differences in creating distinct cultural groups form obstacles to smooth global operations. Centralization and monoculture are necessary to keep the warehouse-factory at peak efficiency. I would say cascadia or list them. Referring to it as one region is definitely more common in America though. Similar to if I was talking about someone from the prairies, I wouldn't mean America even though the bioregion extends south.

I honestly don’t reference those regions collectively. In an Indigenous context, happy to use Salish Sea, but that only addresses ocean. Cascadia is ecosystem/watershed/geology term, ie Cascadia bioregion or Cascadia Subduction Zone. As a political/economic union it’s a fantasy.

Cascadia is sometimes used in BC, it's almost always in reference to the bioregion though. People here would say they're from BC, then the west coast, then Vancouver Island. So the west coast identity is most common.
