#AutoDock
Pfff autodock is for the weak and the sober.

Autodock does, you mean?

"Watch it, I'm on autodock here!"
Huh. I wonder how he got his name. From all the ships he's gone through?

This study presents an automated, parallelized virtual screening pipeline built around AutoDock Vina. It scans receptor surfaces without predefined binding sites, performs triplicate docking with random ligand positioning, and integrates Redis for high-throughput parallelization.

Authors published a paper in Biorxiv, they used AutoDock in the study. Including #RRIDs will make this less ambiguous.

New Elite Dangerous patch really is Autodock (Savage)
November 11, 2025 at 2:00 PM
Shout if you need a hand with anything. Autodock needs a module, if you don't have one then you'll need to dock manually!

It's a fun game, bit grindy but I like it :-)

My vacuum got a software update. Suddenly it begins a journey of self discovery. It's been wandering around for an hour now in circles, in my kitchen, with all it's IR sensors and LiDAR turned off. Strange behavior but I'm gonna let it's battery wind down. Once it reaches 10% it should autodock.

If Elite: Dangerous had any sort of piloting standards, I'd be stripped of my license a looooong time ago. For the simple fact that I'm writing this as my ship is on approach to a station. Without autodock.

I can still hear "Blue Danube" playing.

(Probably because "Elite Dangerous" uses the same gimmick when you autodock with anything.)
One for those of you watching this on a phone!

Believe me it's not much better with an autodock, your description is more poetic, I describe mine as being like a drunk leaving a Kebab shop at 4am
October 2, 2025 at 4:47 PM
That does suck. There was a time i filled a type 9 full of 700 cargo and then went to manually dock, didn’t realize how fast i went and slammed right into my carrier instantly blowing me up because already low hull health 😭 i now never run without autodock when mining

Mining in Elite Dangerous is a nightmare for me for the simple reason that I'm flying an Imperial Cutter and my build doesn't have room for an autodock computer so when it's time to sell I have to dock manually in a ship that steers like a goldfish tied to a cinderblock

#BOINC Central is an open platform for scientists.
I’ve decided to start creating tutorials and publishing them on #Medium.
The first tutorial, covering #Autodock, #Vina, and #Vinardo, is available: medium.com/@lestat.de.l...

It's boring BECAUSE autodock.

There's a definite skill process doing it, doing it faster, doing it without sheilds, doing it without flight assist.

If you enjoy flying it gets challenging.

Touch wood, I've not had a problem with the AutoDock yet in the Panther, it's miles better than the Cutter ever was!

Panther Clipper with Autodock = Opportunities for multitasking.

I'm trying to deliver the last fleet carrier load of stuff before Thursday's server tick. Won't be in until late tonight, so guess how I'm spending my lunch break?

Brought the Steam Deck into the office so I can wrap up the last remaining work on my port city on HIP 4055 when I'm waiting other stuff to finish.

Depends on what you're doing. I land my combat Corvette manually, but if I'm constantly going back and forth for trading or hauling for the CG in my Type 10 or PCmk2, the autodock just eliminates the hassle. Fwiw, Supercruise assist only slows the ship down so I use it only at the last moment.

Interesting landing. Let's not visit that place again. (OK, it went smooth with autodock, but I had to boost upwards as soon as we came out of glide.)
