In his novel, The Big Money, John Dos Passos makes a historical reference to antifascists driving fascisti from Rudolph Valentino’s 1926 funeral. While I found sources that insist that the Italian Blackshirts were a funeral home publicity stunt, I can’t find records of antifascist direct action.
