AI functions on different ATSs are focus on making communication smoother. Most recruiters I know, if they see any sort of rank from an ATS they ignore it because it's usually off. They prefer to go and review every resume.

Nowadays there's a narrative around saying ATSs keep resumes away from being reviewed and that AI functions are used in some way to make decisions.

To keep the reply short, that's not how an ATS works. Usually people disqualify themselves with the knockout questions created by humans.

Not just AI but the ATSs that companies put in place make it next to impossible for your resume to get through to a real person or it overwhelms the hiring manager with candidates. Companies tried so hard to make the process “efficient” that it killed the process. But yea AI took entry level jobs.
