Everyone should read "The Two Cultures and the Scientific Revolution" by C.P. Snow. I first encountered the book in a Philosophy class waaaaay back in the 1980's. It was published in 1959.

I grew up a space kid. I was born in 1959 and was glued to the TV for every launch starting with Gemini. I cried when Apollo 1 burned. I was lucky enough to meet astronauts and tour the Vehicle Assembly Building while Apollo 17 was being assembled when I was 12. I got to see it launch 1/5
