8m
U.S. air-traffic controllers warned the government shutdown was creating safety risks for U.S. aviation and said thousands could go unpaid at the end of the month.
Far too many institutions are bending the knee to Trump and preemptively giving in to his demands. It’s encouraging to see these airports refuse to entertain this administration’s lawlessness. Kudos to them — hopefully their courage inspires others to follow suit. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Shutdown Day 15
Things continue to unravel.
The House is presumably enjoying their PAID VACATION thanks to the Speaker.
Meanwhile thousands of federal employees aren’t getting paychecks. And can’t talk to the media about it

Two weeks into the shutdown, and the Trump admin has done nothing to get federal workers their paychecks or prevent working families from paying DOUBLE for their health insurance.

The administration brought back BLS staff to compute Sept CPI during the shutdown
But they have not brought back staff to collect the October consumer price or labor data.
That will mean bad information ahead.

Has a country ever destroyed itself so quickly or so thoroughly with so little reason?
GOP apparently think that firing federal employees will cause an end to the SHUTDOWN
Seems like it may have the opposite effect....
May just embolden the opposition, irritate them.
