WELKER: During the 2019 shutdown when Trump was president, no federal workers were laid off. Why are these firings necessary?

VANCE: Who do we care more about- federal bureaucrats or the troops getting the payment they need?

WELKER: But layoffs are a priority?

That is different from what the admin said. They claimed it was coming out of DOD R&D funds. Tariff money cannot be touched by the Trump Regime without congressional approval.

A trillion dollars for the Dept of Defense...oops excuse Dept of War. Toys for Hegseth and his new warrior class. Interesting that they can't fund the government and have shut down the nation but the Republicans have no problem spending a trillion bucks.
