I was craving mazesoba which I haven't had since I returned from Nagoya so I went to this place in London called monohon. It wasn't as good, and three times as expensive, as my ex-regular haunt Menya Kabuki just outside Yagoto subway station, but it was still good enough.

had the most wonderful encounter in final fantasy 11 today, i messed up a puzzle and was stuck, digggy showed up and we started brainstorming how to solve it, but then metroidsnacks appeared from behind the gate to open it for us :)

as someone who adores resonance of fate its interesting to see something like clair obscur being compared to it recently primarily in the sense of "(j)rpg curio" but people like clair obscur for its formal conservatism

So let me get this straight. I'm somewhere that's NOT what I would call Zebes... I'm seeing freaking Metroids, and... oh yeah I'm talking to a Chozo. Yeah okay that is something that I do now. I shoot missiles, kill X-Parasites, I'll probably screw jump next.

i went to look up who did the frieren op since ive never heard it and its a yoasobi song called yuusha. that genuinely sounds like something made up by chat-gpt
i dont really watch contemporary anime and i especially dont look to anime for music discovery but its lame how if you watch fma 03 you'd be exposed to l'arc en ciel, asian kung fu generation, crystal kay, nana kitade etc but the range of what is acceptable as "anison" feels so much more limited now
