..gets eclipsed & govt fails to get credit for it. This is a package esp on social housing that people have waited literally decades for, it's transformative, it's what people think of when they think of a Lab govt. But outside the housing world you'd barely know: welfare cuts just eclipse it.

Today I took our school council for a walk and an 🍦 with the residents & staff of a local carehome. It’s the 2nd year of this intergenerational project, where we also have a board games afternoon and Christmas lunch, where the children sing.It is absolutely one of my favourite parts of my job 🫶

10. This is a cry for help. We have photos of all the books and the annotated bibliography. Please, if you know anyone who could take, preserve or use these get in contact. As said, no expert in this field is disputing the value. An elderly colleague of Mike's can't deal with this at all.

1. A story. Please read.
Reposts hugely appreciated on this. You'll see why in a bit.
I was born in Pakistan and lived there until I was 4. My parents worked there as doctors. While we were there we were very close to a couple called Christine and Mike Miles.

A highlight of Simon Reeves’ Scandinavia was the insight into a Finnish pre-school.The children played in the forest despite the cold, having fun, exploring, building their social skills and developing resilience. I found this so inspiring #EduSky #bbc #play #outdoorEd

Not all interventions are equal. Our analysis found that CBT-informed sessions, where young people learn to understand their thoughts and behaviours, as well as how to manage them, were significantly more effective at reducing anxiety symptoms than mindfulness-based classes…

As such….

I’ve spent a large chunk of today reading this wonder of a novel and watching the (much needed) rain through the window. Percival Everett is a genius and I’m so sad I’ve finished another of his books. Dr No next. #BookSky

I wrote this about AI. We hear a lot about the importance of the "human touch" in the age of of machine intelligence. But the depressing truth is a lot of people just love AI slop.

Let’s be real, some people prefer the artificial
Biggest shock about AI is not the dire poetry it produces, but that many favour it precisely for the ways it isn’t human

My daughter spends more time reading novels than looking at her phone or watching tv. Just see the impact it has on her child. They just sit and read for ages. Modelling reading is a great way of getting your children into reading. 📖
