my wife has this. it sucks, but the improbable treatment plan of "salty foods/electrolytes and consistent light exercise" really did help. she almost never has these episodes anymore but it did take a couple of years to even out.

nuzzi / lizza misconduct imo enabled the destruction of so much public health & scientific research — and a resurgence in measles in the US. this is not petty tabloid gossip or inside baseball. that they went undetected or were rewarded while great reporters were laid off? it’s a huge system failure

I understand that, but clearly people are looking to him to signal progressive Democratic norms. someone's gotta figure out what we are doing, preferably someone with a platform and rhetorical talents. It shouldn't be him but, absent anyone else to steer the ship, it's fucking depressing

I don't know enough about that specific candidate to comment, but I am bummed that there isn't more serious advocacy against the current Dem leadership

since Jeffries represents part of nyc I can sort of see the relevance but treating the mayor elect of NYC as a kind of vibes based party boss is weird - I think he's hedging by saying "yes" to the leading question but he was also against a DSA endorsement of a challenger to Jeffries' seat

Philly streets and I95 are a Wild West with no traffic law enforcement whatsoever so even if Philly did set a new speed limit I'd be fascinated to see what their strategy is for getting people to follow it
