That's giving real nostalgic vibes - it looks amazing! I like how you've captured the essence of that game in your updated UI!

Here's some screenshots from the Oil Baron game I was playing back in the 90s

How did I not know that #dido was in love and always will be in love with David Boreanaz himself??

I was wondering why the fire guards and builders weren't servicing buildings after the code was ported to #godot but I think I found why.

When I'm not coding, I like to draw things. I wish I had more time or patience to practice, but I like how calm, peaceful and "real" it feels to just be drawing things.

Updated the Godot debug / log plugin to include being able to watch variables. Will add more functionality later, but for now it's a super way to quickly look up objects in the log or godot inspector panel.

And here's the code to use it, trying to stay as close to the browser console api as possible:

Last night I updated the @godotengine.org console plugin to run as a debugger plugin, and added support for all the browser console methods, including variable dumping

The indie game I'm making and three of the inspirations behind it.

As mentioned, the API is as close to the web browser console api as possible, so using things like `console.log()` etc works almost identical, except for the bit about being able to easily log directly to groups:

Of course things like filtering and toggling works, as well as clearing either specific logging groups or the entire log.
October 21, 2024 at 6:00 PM
The idea is that with an API that is as similar to the browser console as possible, you should be able to achieve similar functionality, including pretty-printing stuff, grouping it (including subgroups), and color it to help you sort and organize your debug output.

Ok, so I realized I didn't post any screenshots from my @godotengine.org logging plugin yesterday. So here are some screenshots of what I wanted to achieve - a mix of the browser console and the nice pretty highlighting from Loggie.

Haha remember that time I spawned 1000 alpacas just to test how #godot handled it?

No?

We'll who's got all the yarn now, huh?
