Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

Hey #medlibs, I built a tool for making it easier to create proximity search strings in PubMed. Check it out!

I presented at PNC-MLA this afternoon and will follow up with a link to the recording when it's posted.

UBC has purchased access to Sage's backfiles and canceled its subscriptions, looking to interlibrary loan Sage journal article requests going forward. They chose Sage because the UBC community publishes in and reads Sage titles the least of the five big pubs.

Taras Stoliar from the Cultural Forces has performed a cover of the famous song by our ambassadors. This is a tribute to Imagine Dragons for their support of Ukrainians, as well as a reminder to the world about our country.

Hearing now that ERIC, the major database for Education research worldwide, is going to be reducing the number of journals it indexes by 45% (as a start) as of the end of April this year. What do you want to bet the first journals to be cut will be anything remotely related to DEI? #academicsky
