The game taught me to resist the urge to Alt-Tab by crashing. I decided to roll a new party to see what kind of shenanigans I can get away with.

I revamped the battle system, which allowed me to develop attack patterns instead of the old "strike once when the hidden ATB bar is filled".

Fast weapons now usually perform 2 weak attacks, while heavy weapons hit once for massive damage.

Still tweaking the overall flow.

speeding up my recovery by drawing 16x16 sprites with a limited color palette, could work as an ultima-style game, i guess
