fortunately I've learned the items and prices for fry's ads are mostly consistent throughout all the stores. I found the full 8 page black friday 2003 (I think the term black friday wasn't in common use yet) ad insert from the sac bee, and the prices were consistent with the Oregonian's single page.

IIRC correctly during the psx's launch window there was a run (I think the first holiday period?) where all the games had to have box art that matched SCEA's unified ExTreMe eyeball design motif. Puzzle Bobble 2 launched during that time and they just never redesigned the art.

I'm watching an incredible comment thread on tiktok under a video where some surfers dig a trench in the sand between a creek and the ocean some 40 feet away, and there are a bunch of angry people who don't seem to understand the concept of tides, sand, or beaches in general.

I'm still searching for the first full page Fry's ad, which is probably in the Mercury News which doesn't have easily accessible archives. But I found the first one for the first socal store in Manhattan Beach.
